NAME

netserver - a network performance benchmark server

SYNOPSIS

netserver [-P portnum] [-n numcpus]

DESCRIPTION

Netserver listens for connections from a netperf benchmark, and responds accordingly. It can either be run from inetd or as a standalone daemon (with the -p flag). If run from inetd the -p option should not be used.

OPTIONS

-h,--help
Displays a usage string and exits.
-V,--version
Displays version information and exits.
-C,--copying
Displays copying permissions and exits.
-n,--numcpus=NUMCPUS
Specify the number of CPU's in the system on those systems for which netperf has no way to find the number of CPU's programatically.
-p,--port=PORTNUM
Listen on the specified port. This is used when running as a standalone daemon.
-v,--verbose=VERBOSITY
-4,--ipv4
-6,--ipv6

DIAGNOSTICS

When successful, netserver exits with a zero (0) exit status; when it fails, it exists with a non-zero exit status and prints a diagnostic message.

BUGS

No known bugs at this time. If you think you have found a bug, please send email to Rick Jones <raj@cup.hp.com>.
